About us

The Bible Talks are our main weekly meetings. They take place every semester week, Wednesdays 12:00pm in Room GP2-31 at Mawson Lakes.

The Lunch Meetings are fairly casual. Its a great place to catch up and get to know people over a meal. From time to time we will provide a cooked lunch for a gold coin donation, other times you can bring you own. At about 12:25 there will be announcements, then our speaker will lead us in a discussion of a Biblical/Theological theme.

Everyone is welcome. The talks are free and you do not need to be a member to come along.

While ESers are always trying to make Jesus known to their friends and peers at Uni mission week is a time when we really try to engage the entire campus with the message of Jesus.

In 2010 we'll be posing the question, "If I could prove to you that God exists, would you want me to?

It’s a hypothetical question. Of course we can’t prove that God exists using any kind of empirical method. But if we could, would you want us to? What would it mean if there was a God? How would it affect the way you think, act and relate to other people? Is it better not to know?

The claim of Christians for nearly 2000 years has been that God has made himself known once and for all through his son Jesus Christ, and that he continues to speak to people today through the message about his son that we call the “Gospel”.

During week 4 students at the Magill and Mawson Lakes campuses we’ll be presenting this “Gospel” for anyone who’s interested. So the question remains – do you want to know, or is ignorance bliss?

Stay tuned for program details.

In 2009 our theme was "If you could ask God just one question what would it be". We surveyed students on campus with that question and then our guest speaker Andrew Klynsmith addressed the top three responses. Those talks were recorded and are available at the bottom of this page to listen to.

We believe that listening to God and each other is a vital part of a Christian's life, as is talking to God and sharing with others. At ES, we seek to do these things in Small Groups.
